Home inspectors have varying qualifications, test equipment, experience, reporting methods as well as different pricing. Also a thorough home inspection requires a lot of work. What is a home inspection?.... A home inspection is a non-invasive visual examination of a residential dwelling, performed for a fee, which is designed to identify observed material defects within specific components of the dwelling in question. Components may include any combination of mechanical, structural, electrical, plumbing, or other essential systems or portions of the home, as identified and agreed to by the Client and Inspector, prior to the inspection process.
How to buy a house.... A home is probably the largest single investment you'll make, and that's why buying on should be undertaken with care. What should you do to avoid mistakes? First, hire a good real estate agent to help you shop and consider a good attorney to manage the sale. When you find a house, learn all you can about taxes, costs, and similar information. Check out the schools, the neighborhood and what kind of folks live next door. Then get a Choice Home Inspection. An unbiased, professional, written home inspection report first may save you thousands of dollars down the road. Finally, be patient. Closing may take thirty days or more after an agreed-upon price.
